1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CF Labs, the operator of the Caltria mobile application ("Caltria", "App", "we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Caltria is a calorie and nutrition tracking application that provides:

• Food and meal logging with calorie and macro and micronutrient tracking
• Barcode scanning and a shared product catalog
• Water and weight tracking
• Nutrition goals and progress insights
• An AI food estimator and assistant for estimating and logging foods
• Optional linking with our companion apps Pantral (pantry management) and Fodes (AI meal planning)

The App provides informational tracking and suggestions only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App.

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or legal guardian permission to use the App and to make any purchases.

4. Accounts

You can sign in with your Apple ID (Sign in with Apple) or use the App as a guest with an anonymous session.

• Your account is part of the CF Labs app ecosystem and can also be used with our companion apps Pantral and Fodes.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID.
• You can delete your account at any time in the App; deleting your account removes your account data from our backend.

5. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. AI-Generated Content

Food estimates and assistant responses are generated by third-party artificial intelligence models (including models from Anthropic and Google).

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your individual circumstances.
• You must verify important information (especially nutrition values, ingredients, and allergens) before relying on it.
• AI-generated content is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.
• We do not guarantee the availability, quality, or consistency of any particular AI model.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Copy or redistribute App content
• Use automated scripts or bots
• Attempt unauthorized access to backend systems
• Abuse the AI features, including attempting to extract system prompts, bypass safety measures, or generate unlawful or harmful content
• Submit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content
• Upload malicious code
• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Interfere with App functionality
• Misrepresent your identity
• Violate applicable laws

8. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Caltria may offer optional paid features or auto-renewable subscriptions. Any such purchases are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel purchases and subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
• Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.

We do not store or process payment information.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party providers:

• Supabase (authentication and backend database)
• Anthropic (AI food estimation and responses)
• Google (AI food estimation and responses)
• Apple App Store (Sign in with Apple, distribution, and any payments)

Pantral and Fodes are separate applications with their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of third-party services. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Food & Health Disclaimer

10.1 Not Medical Advice

Caltria does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.

All nutrition data, AI-generated estimates, and insights are provided for informational purposes only.

10.2 Accuracy & Allergen Disclaimer

We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy or completeness of nutrition or ingredient data
• Allergen information
• Suitability for medical conditions

Users are solely responsible for verifying nutrition and ingredient information and consulting qualified professionals if necessary.

10.3 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee:

• Health outcomes
• Weight loss or gain
• Nutritional results
• Dietary success

11. Intellectual Property

All App content, including:

• Design
• Layout
• Branding
• Text
• Underlying software

is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce or distribute content without written permission.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided:

"AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"

Without warranties of any kind, including:

• Accuracy
• Reliability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Continuous availability
• Error-free operation

EU Consumer Notice: Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable EU law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

We shall not be liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of profits or data
• Health-related consequences
• Allergy-related reactions
• Damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content or nutrition data
• Purchase or subscription disputes handled by Apple

If liability cannot be excluded, our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing excludes liability for:

• Fraud
• Gross negligence
• Mandatory statutory consumer rights

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.

Deleting the App does not cancel active subscriptions — cancellation must occur via Apple ID settings.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

15. Modifications

We may update:

• The App
• Features
• These Terms

Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date.

Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland.

Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence remain unaffected.

17. Feedback

If you submit feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such feedback for product improvement without compensation.

18. Apple-Specific Terms

If you access the App via the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple.
• Apple is not responsible for maintenance or support.
• Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the App.
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.
